Bathroom Remodels & Repairs

Speedy's Handyman remodels and repairs bathrooms in Kennewick, Richland, Pasco and the rest of the Tri-Cities. That covers full remodels from tear-out to glass shower doors, and everyday bathroom fixes like re-caulking, shower doors, bath fans, grab bars and leak damage. For the plumbing itself, we bring in a licensed plumber.

One call, one invoice. We handle the repairs, and when your project needs plumbing, electrical or HVAC, we hire licensed pros we trust and fit them into the schedule. Call (509) 518-3320.

What does a bathroom remodel with Speedy's include?

A remodel runs from demolition to the last bead of caulk: the old surround comes out, soft subfloor gets replaced, then the new shower or tub surround, vanity, floor, drywall, texture, paint and trim go in. Doors and trim can be sprayed in our own paint booth.

  • Full bathroom remodels from tear-out to finish
  • Shower demo and wall-kit or surround installs
  • Tile showers and tub surrounds
  • Glass and sliding shower doors
  • Vanity installation (a licensed plumber handles the hookup)
  • Subfloor replacement and new LVP or tile floors

Which bathroom repairs and fixes do you handle?

Not every bathroom needs a remodel. Most bathroom calls are fixes: a shower door that won't close, caulk that's gone black, a fan that vents into the attic, or a grab bar for a parent who's unsteady getting out of the tub.

  • Re-caulking tubs, showers and vanity tops
  • Shower door adjustment and replacement
  • Bath fan duct work and vent caps (the wiring goes to Speedy's Electrical)
  • Grab bars, including through tile
  • Water-damaged drywall, subfloor and vanity repair after a leak
  • Towel bars, mirrors, shelving and accessories
  • Vanity refinishing and paint

How does a bathroom project work, step by step?

  1. Call or text (509) 518-3320 with a few photos and what's bothering you.
  2. On-site look. We see the bathroom in person; estimates are subject to an on-site inspection.
  3. Written quote for labor and materials, line by line, so you can choose what gets done.
  4. Demo and repair. If opening a wall or floor turns up hidden damage, we stop, take photos and get your OK first.
  5. Licensed trades. A licensed plumber handles the plumbing; Speedy's Electrical handles any wiring.
  6. Finish. Surround, vanity, floor, drywall, texture, paint and trim, then an itemized invoice.

Who does the plumbing and electrical in a bathroom?

A licensed plumber we hire handles any plumbing on your bathroom project, from a vanity hookup to a new shower valve. Electrical work, including fan wiring and new lighting, goes to our sister company, Speedy's Electrical. We schedule both around the tear-out, tile and finish work, and you get one invoice for the whole bathroom.

What did a recent Kennewick bathroom job involve?

On a Kennewick bathroom, the previous contractor pulled out the tub and flooded the kitchen below. Speedy's took over on a tight deadline, tore out the old shower, replaced the subfloor, smoothed the walls with new texture and paint, and finished the room with a new tub, a walk-in shower with glass doors and dual vanities with quartz tops, with a licensed plumbing subcontractor on the plumbing.

No surprises: “If we uncover extensive damage… we will stop, take photographs, explain what we found, and receive your approval before completing any additional work. There will be no surprise repairs added without discussing them with you first.”

FAQ

Bathroom Remodels & Repairs: common questions

Does Speedy's Handyman do bathroom repairs as well as remodels?

Yes. Along with full bathroom remodels, we handle everyday bathroom repairs: re-caulking tubs and showers, shower door adjustment and replacement, bath fan duct work, grab bars (including through tile), towel bars and mirrors, and drywall or subfloor damage after a leak. The plumbing itself goes to a licensed plumber we bring in.

Does Speedy's Handyman do kitchen and bathroom remodels?

Yes. Speedy's updates kitchens and bathrooms: shower surrounds and doors, vanities, countertops, backsplash tile, drywall, texture, paint and trim. Any plumbing on the job is done by a licensed plumber we bring in, and electrical work goes to our sister company, Speedy's Electrical. In 2026 Speedy's took over and finished a Kennewick bathroom after the previous contractor flooded the kitchen below.

Can you re-caulk a tub or shower?

Yes. We cut out the old caulk, clean and dry the joint, and run new caulk around tubs, showers and vanity tops. If water has already gotten behind the surround, we show you before doing anything more.

Can you install grab bars on a tiled bathroom wall?

Yes. Grab bars through bathroom tile are a job we've done, including in Richland. We place them where you actually reach when getting in and out of the tub or off the toilet.

Can you help with a noisy or dead bathroom fan?

Speedy's handles the duct work, the vent cap and the drywall and paint around a bath fan. The wiring goes to our sister company, Speedy's Electrical, and you still make one call.

Is Speedy's Handyman a licensed contractor for bathroom remodels?

Speedy's Handyman (SPEEDYS HANDYMAN LLC) is a Washington State L&I registered general contractor, Reg. # SPEEDHL745P1, with $1,000,000 general liability insurance. We do the tear-out, framing, drywall, tile, vanities and doors; a licensed plumber we bring in does the plumbing, and Speedy's Electrical does any wiring.
